Jaire has been working in the field of body/mind therapy for over a decade, and feels that relaxation is a key component in recovering from any injury or illness, and a fundamental part of relieving and eliminating stress. Chiropractic

Chiropractic care By Dr. Rich Lucov DC https://www.facebook.com/DoctorRich1/

Why Chiropractic? Misalignments of your spine and poor health No part of your body escapes the dominance of your nervous system. Improper function of the spine due to slight misalignments-called subluxations- can cause poor health or function, even in areas far removed from the spine and spinal cord itself. Even the slightest malfunction of your spine may alter the regular transmission of nerve impulses, preventing that portion of your body from responding optimally.

Natural health care without drugs or surgery

Chiropractic is a natural form of health care that uses spinal adjustments to correct these misalignments and restore proper function to the nervous system, helping your body to heal naturally. A chiropractic spinal adjustment -the application of a precise force to a specific part of the spinal segment-corrects the misalignment, permitting normal nerve transmission and assisting your body to recuperate on its own.

Massage & Bodywork

Bodywork & Therapeutic Massage
by Jaire Vieira CMT

To alleviate muscle tension and discomfort, integrates various forms of manual therapies that may use muscle and fascia manipulation and/or movement, to generate lasting relief and to the body.

Therapeutic Massage
Light touch centered on restoring physical and emotional balance, blending Deep Tissue, Sports and other therapeutic techniques; will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated.

DermoNeuroModulation (DNM)
A gentle method to resolve nerve pain, regain function, and feel better. Techniques are slow, light, kind, intelligent, responsive and effective.

Modalities
Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential "time element" has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

Deep tissue

Techniques that utilize deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. These techniques require advanced training and a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. The muscles must be relaxed in order to effectively perform deep-tissue massage, otherwise tight surface muscles prevent the practitioner from reaching deeper musculature. It helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis. It is generally integrated with other massage techniques.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is designed to help atheletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. But you don't have to be in the Olympics to benefit from sports massage. Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. This is the type of sports massage that you see in the spa. Sports massage is a type of Swedish massage that stimulates circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids. Some sports massage movements use trigger point therapy to break down adhesions (knots in the muscles) and increase range of motion.

Swedish

One of the most commonly taught and well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. Five basic strokes, all flowing toward the heart, are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. The disrobed client is covered by a sheet, with only the area being worked on exposed. Therapists use a combination of kneading, rolling, vibrational, percussive, and tapping movements, with the application of oil, to reduce friction on the skin. The many benefits of Swedish massage may include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.
