Rolfing s a sequential hands-on therapy designed to reduce or eliminate long standing pain or poor posture. If you want to improve your active performance, release chronic tension, improve posture, reduce or eliminate chronic pain, then Rolfing SI may be right for you. Rolfing is usually done over the course of 10 sessions (“the 10-series”) plus three movement optional. Each session focuses on a specific goal and area of the body. Teodora began her journey as Massage Therapist when her husband and co-owner James Lillard was hit by a car while training on his bicycle. He sustained severe injuries and multiple fractures. As a way to aid James' recovery, she enrolled in the San Francisco School of Massage. There she leaned her craft and was trained by some of the leading authorities in the field of clinical bodywork. Some faculty members were trained Rolfers who studied under Ida Rolf. Teodora was impressed with their skill and technique and is actively pursuing her goal of becoming a Certified Advanced Rolfer. She is enrolled at the Rolfing Institute in Boulder Colorado. When she isn't working with clients at OnBalance, she enjoys pilates and spending time with her family.

Jaire has been working in the field of body/mind therapy for over a decade, and feels that relaxation is a key component in recovering from any injury or illness, and a fundamental part of relieving and eliminating stress. A long-time practitioner of meditation and sound therapy, Jaire emphasizes addressing the entire body/mind connection as a whole in order to achieve long-lasting therapeutic effects, and to live a more centered and balanced life.
Each session with Jaire is carefully designed to address the individual needs of his clients. “In order to notice and become aware with what is going on in our body, we need to learn how to quiet our mind. If the mind is agitated, it is impossible to become attuned to our body.”

A gentle method to resolve nerve pain, regain function, and feel better. Techniques are slow, light, kind, intelligent, responsive and effective.
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential "time element" has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical
procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can
produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000
pounds per square inch on pain sensitive
structures that do not show up in many of the
standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans,

deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage are administered to

massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed
to energize the body by stimulating circulation.
Five basic strokes, all flowing toward the heart,
are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body.
The disrobed client is covered by a sheet, with only
the area being worked on exposed. Therapists use a
combination of kneading, rolling, vibrational,
percussive, and tapping movements, with the
application of oil, to reduce friction on the skin.
The many benefits of Swedish massage may include
generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue
adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed
healing and reduce swelling from injury.
